We went to the "mud flats" at Mrs. Kiessling's home to explore a different ocean environment. It's similar to a tide pool. The children learned that brackish water is created when fresh stream water and salty ocean water meet. We found different creatures in their habitats. Thank you so much to Kumu Peiterson for gathering all the buckets, nets, and look boxes for us! Thank you to Challa, Dane, Estrella, Jen, Lasse, Layne, Stacy, and Taylor for all their help keeping our children filled with curiosity and discovery! A very special thank you to Mrs. Kiessling, Popo Tong, and Mr. Robbie for welcoming us to their home and for the ice pops!
